Constructive Tool
Constructive Tool are software tools that help users to create or build something, rather than just consuming information. They enable user to actively engage with the content and manipulate it to create something new. Constructive tools often provide a range of options for customization and personalization, allowing users to tailor their creations to their preferences. These tools can be used for creating digital art, designing websites, or developing computer programs.
We can use constructive tool in education setting to encourage hands-on learning and creativity among the students. Some of the constructive tools includes, Learning Management System (Moodle), google classroom, Ppt, Google docs, Google slides, Python, Cmap, Spreadsheet and simulation and modelling.
Camtasia Studio one of the constructive tool which is used for creating video tutorials to make our lessons effective. Technology integration of the Camtasia studio acts as substitute teacher incase of personal problems where by asking the students to watch the tutorial and provide learning tasks to engage the students. It allows us to record or capture the computer screen. So hereby, I would like to share the video tutorial on transportation.
In today's session we mainly focused on creating Cmaps. Cmaps is a constructive tool where we can brainstorm and visualize the information. It is a graphical representation of knowledge that helps user to organize and structure information in a meaningful way. Cmaps typically consists of nodes (representing concepts or ideas) connected by lines or arrows (representing relationship between them). They can be created by hand on paper or using digital tools like CmapTools, a software specially designed for creating or sharing concept maps.
Steps for creating Cmap:
1. Define your topic
2. Brainstorm and identify key concepts
3. Add concepts to the Cmap
4. Connect concepts with linking words/phrases
5. organize and arrange
6. style and customize (optional)
7. Save and share.
Hereby. I would like to share the Cmap I have created on "Plants nutrient"
